How Cambridge IGCSE PUM Calculation Works

Note: All threshold values and weighting factors are based on analysis of October-November 2025 Cambridge IGCSE releases.

1. Paper Marks

Enter actual marks scored in each paper (MCQ & ATP papers: 40 marks, Theory papers: 80-100 marks)

2. Component Weighting

Each paper component has a weighting factor. Raw marks are multiplied by this factor to get weighted marks.

3. Total Weighted Marks

Sum of all weighted component marks. This is compared against grade thresholds.

4. PUM Conversion

Weighted total is converted to a Percentage Uniform Mark (0-100 scale) using linear interpolation within grade bands.
